For Healthcare

Asset management for hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers.

Medical equipment, biomedical inventory, IT devices and the chain-of-custody and calibration records every accreditor expects — in one register, audited from a phone.

What healthcare asset registers actually have to do

Healthcare asset management has to satisfy more masters than almost any other industry: clinical (the equipment has to work and be calibrated), regulatory (the auditor has to be able to prove it), financial (the depreciation and replacement schedule has to defend the capital plan) and operational (the orderly has to find the infusion pump). Most facilities run three or four spreadsheets to cover the gaps.

AssetTrack consolidates these into one register with the fields each stakeholder needs. Biomedical engineers track calibration dates and service history; clinical staff find equipment on the ward via QR scan; finance runs the depreciation and replacement view; the accreditor sees the maintenance and chain-of-custody log on demand.

The capabilities that matter most here

  • Equipment-specific fields (calibration due, last service, biomedical technician sign-off)
  • Maintenance log with preventive schedules, repair history and PM evidence — printable for accreditation
  • QR / NFC tags for ward-side scan-to-locate and scan-to-confirm
  • Signed handover for portable equipment moving between wards
  • Per-category depreciation matched to healthcare capital-asset conventions
  • Role-based access so biomedical, clinical and finance each see what they need without seeing the rest

Common scenarios

  • Infusion-pump roundup: scan every pump on the ward, confirm calibration current, flag any due for service
  • Equipment failure: log the fault, route to biomedical, attach the repair invoice, restore service date on the record
  • Accreditation visit: produce the maintenance log per category showing preventive schedule, completion and technician
  • Capital planning: replacement schedule for the next 36 months based on actual end-of-life dates, not spreadsheet guesses
  • Theft / loss: chain-of-custody log shows who last signed for the portable ultrasound and when

Frequently asked questions

Does AssetTrack handle biomedical equipment calibration tracking?

Yes. Calibration due dates, last calibration, calibrating technician and certificate attachments are first-class on every asset. Alerts fire when calibration is approaching due.

Can clinical staff use AssetTrack on the ward?

Yes. The mobile PWA installs to the device home screen, works offline, and supports QR scan-to-locate for finding equipment quickly. Clinical staff don't see depreciation or financial fields.

Is the chain of custody defensible for accreditation?

Yes. Signed handovers and audit sessions are timestamped and signature-captured. The maintenance log and chain-of-custody log are both exportable per category for accreditation visits.

How is patient data kept out of AssetTrack?

By design. AssetTrack holds asset and custodian data only — no patient identifiers and no clinical data. Custodian fields are limited to staff and contractor records.
