For individuals

A home contents register your insurer (and you) can actually trust.

Your contents schedule is the difference between a paid claim and a half-paid one. AssetTrack gives households a simple register — photos, receipts, replacement values, multiple locations — and a broker-ready PDF you can export the moment the underwriter asks. Free for up to 25 items, R79/mo for unlimited.

Why a household register matters at claim time

Most household policies pay out current replacement value of items you can prove you owned. No proof, no payout — or a payout based on a guess. After a fire, theft or flood, you will not remember the exact model of every appliance, the value of every piece of jewellery, or which receipt is in which drawer.

AssetTrack is the register you build once and update slowly. Add a photo, a receipt and a value. Tag the location (main house, holiday house, garage, vehicle). When something changes, update one row. At renewal time, export a PDF. At claim time, export the same PDF — already itemised, with photos.

What you get on the free plan

  • Up to 25 items, photos and receipts on every one
  • Insurance-ready PDF for your broker, in one click
  • Under-insurance gap shown on the dashboard
  • AI chat over your own register ("what did I pay for the espresso machine?")
  • Household categories out of the box: electronics, jewellery, art, tools, appliances, sporting equipment

When to upgrade to Personal Plus (R79/mo, $5/mo)

  • You have more than 25 valuable items
  • You split items across more than one location (main house + holiday house, garage, caravan, vehicle)
  • You want CSV export of the full register for your accountant or estate planning
  • You want priority broker-friendly PDFs with a cover sheet and totals per location
  • Annual prepay is 20% cheaper — R63/mo, $4/mo equivalent

How brokers use AssetTrack with their clients

Many South African insurance brokers refer their personal-lines clients to AssetTrack so quoting and renewals stop being a chase. The broker invites you, sees a live schedule (read-only), and quotes against what is in the register today — not a six-month-old spreadsheet.

If your broker is in our partner program they earn 15% recurring commission on your Personal Plus subscription, paid for as long as you stay a customer. Same rule for business referrals — one program, no carve-outs.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data private?

Yes. Every register is scoped at the database with row-level security — no one else, including your broker (unless you invite them), can see your items. We do not sell data and never will.

What do I do at claim time?

Open the register, filter to the affected location (or item), and export the insurance PDF. The PDF includes item names, serials, replacement values, totals and photos. Email it to the loss adjuster with the claim form.

Can my broker help me set it up?

Yes. Ask them to refer you — they get 15% recurring commission on Personal Plus, and you get a partner who knows the tool. Brokers can also be invited as a read-only user on your register if you want them to help with renewals.

What happens if I cancel Personal Plus?

Nothing breaks. Your data stays. You drop back to the Personal Free limits (25 items, one location). Existing items above the limit remain viewable; adding new ones prompts you to upgrade again.

Why R79 a month?

It is priced as a household admin tool, not as business software. Less than a streaming service, less than a cup of coffee a week. The 20% annual discount brings it to ~R63/mo for prepay.
