For Insurance brokers

Asset management for insurance brokers and underwriting teams.

Quote, schedule and renew against a live asset register — not a six-month-old spreadsheet. Replacement values, serials, photos and condition records, ready for the underwriter and the loss adjuster.

What insurance brokers asset registers actually have to do

Brokers spend a meaningful share of every renewal cycle chasing schedules. The client sends an outdated CSV, the broker pads it conservatively, the underwriter prices the pad, and the gap surfaces at claim time — usually as a denied or reduced claim that strains the broker-client relationship.

AssetTrack changes the source. The client maintains a live register; the broker is invited as a read-only user (or pulls data through the public REST API) and quotes against the schedule that exists today. Renewals stop being a chase and start being a confirmation. Claim evidence is on the asset record before the loss adjuster asks.

The capabilities that matter most here

  • Read-only broker access to client workspaces, scoped to the data the broker needs to see
  • Public REST API for brokerage-side schedule dashboards and book-of-business analytics
  • Insurance gap analysis — assets with missing replacement value, missing serial, missing photo, stale value
  • Replacement value separate from book value on every asset, by design
  • Chain-of-custody and last-known-location data attached to every asset for claim evidence
  • Per-client workspaces for brokers running multiple insureds — bookmark, switch, schedule, done

Common scenarios

  • Renewal cycle: pull the live schedule from the client's workspace, confirm changes vs prior period, quote with confidence
  • Mid-term endorsement: client adds a high-value asset; broker sees it immediately via the API
  • Claim event: full evidence package (invoice, serial, photo, chain-of-custody, last GPS coordinate) one export away
  • Book-of-business view: brokerage-side dashboard rolls up insured values across all clients on AssetTrack
  • New-business pitch: 'we'll quote against your live register, not the spreadsheet your last broker held'

Personal-lines referrals earn the same 15% commission

Households need the same register brokers want their commercial clients to keep — photos, receipts, replacement values, multiple locations. AssetTrack Personal Plus (R79/mo, $5/mo) gives every personal-lines client a broker-ready PDF in one click.

Approved partners earn 15% recurring commission on every referred subscription, business or personal, for as long as the customer stays. One commission rule, no carve-outs. See /for-individuals for the customer-facing pitch and /for-partners to apply.

Frequently asked questions

How does AssetTrack work for a brokerage's client portfolio?

Two patterns. Either the broker is invited as a read-only user on each client's workspace (good for smaller portfolios) or the broker holds their own workspace and pulls scoped data from each client via the public REST API (good for larger portfolios with a brokerage-side reporting layer).

What evidence does AssetTrack hold for a claim?

Per asset: purchase invoice, serial number, replacement value, condition photo at last audit, chain-of-custody log showing who has it now, and (where the most recent signed event captured GPS) last confirmed location. The evidence package is a single export.

Can the broker push schedule data back into AssetTrack?

The public REST API supports read today. Write-back endpoints for endorsement notifications and renewal confirmations are on the integrations roadmap.

What replacement-value methodology does AssetTrack use?

Replacement value is held as a first-class field per asset. The number itself is yours — AssetTrack doesn't fetch external market prices automatically, because the right number depends on whether the policy is new-for-old, agreed value or current market value.

Do personal-lines referrals earn the same 15% partner commission as business referrals?

Yes. Approved partners earn 15% recurring on every paid subscription they refer, business or personal. Refer a household to Personal Plus (R79/mo or R63/mo annual) and you earn 15% of that subscription every month for as long as the customer stays — paid monthly via EFT.

What is excluded from the 15% commission on personal referrals?

Personal Free signups (no subscription revenue), refunded or charged-back months, VAT, the first 30 days of an annual subscription that is later refunded under our money-back terms, self-referrals and referrals to immediate family on the same household policy, and Enterprise contracts negotiated directly. Trial periods accrue and pay out once the customer converts to paid.

How quickly does the commission start, and how is it paid?

Commissions accrue from the customer's first paid invoice and become payable after a two-month arrears window (to clear refunds and chargebacks). Approved partners are paid monthly via EFT in ZAR, with a statement showing every referred customer, the period, the subscription MRR and the 15% accrued.
